'InSkills' launches their skills initiative in Odisha with international collaboration

With a mission of imparting vocational training of global standards in the state of Odisha, Skill Ventures Private Limited, a consortium of leading players in education and technology from West Bengal & Odisha, launched their 'Inskills' initiative in Odisha in 'Invest Bhubaneswar' meet.

Odisha is the launching pad for their nationwide program of creating sustainable and professional vocational traini9ng programs in verticals like Infrastructure & Construction skills, IT Enabled Services, Healthcare Services, Tourism & Hospitality and Retail. They are developing a state-of-the-art campus in Khordha as a 'Centre of Excellence' in vocational skills.

InSkills has entered into an academic collaboration with Bourneville College, UK as knowledge partner, for Engineering and Construction skills. Bourneville will provide their expertise and support thru' development of content and curriculum, training of trainers as well as certification for advanced skills towards capacity building in vocational skills training. A Memorandum of Understanding in this regard was signed between them in 'Invest Bhubaneswar' meet.

InSkills also partners with HCMI Singapore for placement of skilled workers in different countries in South East Asia and Australia.

"Apart from creating trained workforce to meet the demand for skilled manpower for domestic industries, InSkills is looking on some of these international collaborations to ensure that certifications obtained by our students in specific skill areas make them eligible and acceptable to the workplace in different countries in Asia" said Mr. Kalyan Kar, Director InSkills, in his discussions during 'Invest Bhubaneswar' meet.

Mr. Kar also mentioned that they have initiated discussion with the Department of Industries in Odisha for adopting a number of Industrial Training Centers to augment their efforts in creating a vocational training backbone covering the entire state.

'InSkills' also signed a Memorandum of Understating with INCOR Infrastructure, Hyderabad towards forming a consortium for similar skills initiative covering the state of Andhra Pradesh.

InSkills signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bournville College, UK as Academic Partner to help Skill Ventures Pvt Ltd with content development and capacity building in terms of Infrastructure, Train the Trainer and Delivery. Bournville College is a leading college in further education based in Longbridge, Birmingham. The college offers various vocational and professional skill training and has been awarded a Training Quality Standard (TQS)

InSkills signed a Memorandum of Understanding with INDIS Foundation, the CSR wing of INCOR Infrastructure towards forming a consortium for skills initiative in Andhra Pradesh and based on initial convergence of macro-level objectives of imparting best quality vocational education for the state of Andhra Pradesh, Skill Ventures Pvt Ltd & INDIS have explored the possibility of collaboration in taking the initiative forward in a professional manner.

InSkills signed the MOU with Kaziranga University at the CII Skill Conclave in Guwahati in the presence of the Chief Minister of Assam, Sri Tarun Gogoi, at 12-15 pm on January 23.

Interestingly, this is the EXACT time and date when Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was born !!

Kaziranga University & 'InSkills' join hands to launch their skills initiative in Assam & North-East

With a mission of imparting vocational training of global standards in Assam and other North-East states, Skill Ventures Private Limited, a consortium of leading players in education and technology, have entered into a collaboration with Kaziranga University, Jorhat, to launch their 'Inskills' initiative in the region.

Both the parties signed an MOU in 'CII Skills Conclave 2012' in Guwahati today in presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam Mr. Tarun Gogoi, , Hon'ble MOS for DONER, Govt of India Mr. P S Ghatwar, and other dignitaries present in the event. The MOU was signed by Mr Basant Khetan from Kaziranga University and Mr Kalyan Kar from Inskills.

Assam is the launching pad for their region-wide program of creating vocational training programs in verticals like Infrastructure & Construction skills, IT Enabled Services, Healthcare Services, Tourism & Hospitality and Retail. Kaziranga University, located in Jorhat, will be working as the hub campus for the initiative and a state-of-the-art center of vocational training will be developed in the university for this purpose as a 'Centre of Excellence'. Two organizations will work together towards building a large network of training delivery centers in the entire region – with globally benchmarked process support in terms of content and curriculum, industry linkage & certifications.
